FIRESIDE COURTYARD

Client: Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa, Morningside, Johannesburg
Project: Conceptualization, Design and Implementation

This project began as an empty space at the bottom of the garden under large oak trees. With Space Curator's vision for the space, what was once an unused area of the garden is now a magnificent Fireside Courtyard that has hosted wellness weekends and private lunches. The space was conceptualised by Space Curator Studio and every last detail curated, managed and implemented by us. From the garden walkways leading up to the structural design and build of the courtyard to the sourcing of the majestic antique Chinese entrance doors, the fountain, the floor tiles, the outdoor lanterns, the firescreens, the chimney tops, the cushions and selection of the fabrics to the accessories sourced by Space Curator Studio SLVGD ('salvaged'), not a single detail was missed.

This is a space that cannot be fully captured in photographs but has to be experienced in order to appreciate its grandeur.

ARDMORE SATARA SUITE

Step into the Satara Suite, where luxury meets African elegance. Named after the Princess of the Rocky Hill, this suite blends regal charm with natural beauty. Conceptualized by The Space Curator Studio and designed with Ardmore Designs' exquisite African-themed decor and a first-of-its-kind hand-painted wall mural, the suite features vibrant textiles and intricate patterns that celebrate Africa's diverse cultures. Handcrafted furniture and artisanal pieces create a sophisticated, welcoming space. Every detail, from plush bedding to curated art, reflects a commitment to quality and African heritage.
